UX DESIGN, PRODUCT MANAGEMENT & OPERATIONS

 
 

As Head of Products at Brightwave, I entered a business which had a great MVP in their Tessello Learning Management System, but they didn’t really know how to develop and scale the product. During my time at Brightwave, I set up and ran a development team, a highly successful support team and a customer success team. 

This involved implementing a great deal of product and operational processes to ensure the smooth running of the team and the technology. This included, but was not limited to: 

  • Full agile development process

  • Vision and strategy

  • User testing and creation of personas

  • Product roadmap and backlog

  • Leading vision for rework of look and feel

  • UX design of all new features

  • Instance implementation for clients

  • SLAs and best practice for support

  • Mandatory documentation for development

  • Creation of ‘lite’ versions of the product

  • Resource management

  • Coaching and career progression of team

  • Rigorous interview and onboarding processes 

While I have left Brightwave, the team and systems I created still stand and have helped grow the product far beyond what was anticipated. It remains a profitable and growing business.
