UX DESIGN, PRODUCT MANAGEMENT & OPERATIONS
As Head of Products at Brightwave, I entered a business which had a great MVP in their Tessello Learning Management System, but they didn’t really know how to develop and scale the product. During my time at Brightwave, I set up and ran a development team, a highly successful support team and a customer success team.
This involved implementing a great deal of product and operational processes to ensure the smooth running of the team and the technology. This included, but was not limited to:
Full agile development process
Vision and strategy
User testing and creation of personas
Product roadmap and backlog
Leading vision for rework of look and feel
UX design of all new features
Instance implementation for clients
SLAs and best practice for support
Mandatory documentation for development
Creation of ‘lite’ versions of the product
Resource management
Coaching and career progression of team
Rigorous interview and onboarding processes
While I have left Brightwave, the team and systems I created still stand and have helped grow the product far beyond what was anticipated. It remains a profitable and growing business.
